Rich Rod has taken a bit of criticism over a lack of recruits from the state of Michigan, with just 3 of his current 16 verbal committments coming from home-state players. At least those three recruits are some of the best in the state, with Devin Gardner regarded by many to be the #1 player in the state of Michigan.
