Chris Wormley commits!

Finally!

Yes, four star DE Chris Wormley has finally pulled the trigger and committed to Michigan today whilst at the Big House BBQ. I think most of us knew it was coming, but it's still a relief that he's now a Michigan man after such a long wait.

At the start of the year I would have put Wormley right up there on the list of recruits I wanted the most, probably top 3. Sure he's received a lot of criticism since then, but he's still a tremendous talent; and one that has the potential to play early at Michigan.

More about all this in the commitment post, which will be up later.

  3. Another great commit for Hoke and UM. I know people were a little disappointed with Burbridge going to state, but most QBs don't throw well when they're being drug to the ground by a speedy pash rusher like Wormley. Go Blue!!!

  7. Both morris and dever are listed at around 6'2". the picture i think is deceptive since morris is standing next to and behind which wormley and strobel who are 6'4" easily and not to mention he is behind them a little which makes him look smaller. and then dever is standing next to braden who is very wide and makes him look smaller. i think dever may only be like 6'1" though

  10. Great to hear about Wormley. Sounds like Jordan Payton may have Michigan in his top two. Considering that and the fact that we have only a few remaining spots open, I'd like to see Hoke going after him rather than Madaris or Chesson.

Originally, Payton committed to USC but backed off that pledge earlier this month. According to Oaks Christian head coach Bill Redell, Payton may have narrowed his list down to two schools.

"Cal and Michigan seemed to be very high on his list," Redell said about his star senior, who caught 61 passes for 980 yards and nine scores last season.

  13. What up with that Bo Dever kid? Haven't heard anything bout him. Rivals has him at 4 stars and listing Michigan as high on his list.

The pic TomVH posted (thanks Jer89) has him standing w/ committed players.

Wasn't there talk a while back bout a silent commit from Illinois?

  14. Bo dever is a preferred walk on

  15. Rivals does not have Dever as a a 4-star. That's the fan rating, not the actual rating by the Rivals' scouts.

    He's a 1-star on ESPN.

  16. Stefon Diggs narrowed down his list to 15 and Michigan is in the final 15...Here is what he had to saybwhen asked about Michigan: "I haven't visited yet but it's been awhile since they've had a big-time wide receiver and I think I could be that guy. My ex-teammate Blake Countess is there and he really talks highly about it but I have to visit it myself to see if it's a fit."

  17. ^^^^ I was asking about him earlier! Somebody filled me in that he wasn't really in the picture, and I'm sure that holds true. But if he's showing interest, that'd be fantastic!

  18. I think that it was so good for Michigan because I read Chris Wormley's biography on a per head blog and he is one of the best in my opinion
