Defensive back Greg Brown (Fremont, Ohio) became Michigan's first Class of 2011 pledge on Wednesday. Brown is on the ESPN 150 watch list and is predicted by many to be one of the top defensive backs in the 2011 class.
Given Michigan's lack of depth in the secondary, this is a great get, however with these early commitments, they have a lot of time to change their minds. Michigan's class of 2011 should be a good one, the improvements to the team on the field this year should encourage more recruits to look at the Wolverines, and Brown's early commitment gives the class a great start.
