ESPN Class Rankings

Now that most of the players have been evaluated, ESPN has put together their first class rankings for the 2012 recruiting year, which you can see here.

As always, Texas is #1 at this early stage; if you think we recruit fast, check out those Longhorns...

The main headline though is that Michigan comes in at a very impressive #6! I said earlier this year that Michigan was around the 7-9 range, but I guess the recent commitments have pushed us up even further.

Given that UM is probably going to sign a lot of recruits rated 4* by ESPN, the Wolverines should make the top ten at the end of the year as well.

Note: If you can't find OSU on the list, don't worry, you just have to go onto the 2nd page to see them....

  1. I think we look great on ESPN. As for Scouts, I did the math and based on their "ranking formula", all we need is two more 4 star recruits and we will surpass our points total of last year's class. If we land four more 4 star and four more hre star recruits, we'd be inline to finish 8th-10th on Scouts. We should have no problem pulling that off and our consensus ranking should shine. Go Blue

  3. Ya and scout is talking about a new defensive commit. This sure seems like it's legit, was he visiting today?

  4. Tom VH concurs. Brutus has had his pocket picked. Strobel is a Wolverine! Kid has great video. Watched him split a TE/RT double team, get plowed by a full speed FB and shake all 3 and sack the scrambling qb for at least a 10 yard loss.

  6. Nice pick up but wonder if it would have happened had Tressel still been the HC.

  7. So this most likely means we lose out on Pittman, but still end up with Wormely. Still a big pickup. Pittman by no means was guarantee anyways. Pipkins and Wormley I hope are next.

  8. I wonder how this will stand with kids like Dunn and Kalis, who committed to a coach who no longer coaches.

  10. I think there will be two more commits by the end of the weekend. I think one is Magnuson and Diamond but I think he will be a silent commit. What does everyone think?

  11. I think Magnuson will commit tonight either before or after the showing of the night game jersey... Diamond I dont know unless Magnuson and his team mate from last year are n his ear all weekend Ill think he will wait

  12. UMFAN323 & Jer89

  13. Can Strobel move up to a 4 star ESPN recruit in his senior year?

  14. He's rated 78, so there's a chance. You need 79.5+ to get a fourth star.

  15. I have a question on commits. Can a Michigan streght and conditioning coach get in touch with a kid after he signs his letter of intent?
