Four star OT Zach Banner has released a top nine, which doesn't mean much to be honest; but at least Michigan made it. The nine lucky schools are Michigan, FSU, LSU, Bama, Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame, Oregon and Washington.
As I said, a top nine doesn't really mean much, the key to his recruitment will be the five official visits, of which Michigan is very likely to receive one. I get the feeling he really likes Michigan, but the in-state Huskies might be hard to overcome. Hopefully he'll visit for the Notre Dame night game, which should be Michigan's biggest recruiting event of the year.
Does anyone know when the rivals team rankings come out and how often the ESPN team rankings are updated. It doesn't feel right referring to our class as 6th ranked in ESPN b/c we signed 2 4 stars the day after it came out
ReplyDeleteI don't know when the rivals team rankings come out but just go to Espn 2011 class rankings and it has dates when the last class was updated.
ReplyDeleteESPN class rankings are updated monthly
ReplyDeleteWhen does Olsen plan on making his anouncement?
ReplyDeleteOlson said he could decide anyday before July 4th.He may delay his decision.because he may visit Stanford.
ReplyDeleteDoes anynody else think Diamond will commit this week? Is Washington really not coming to UM this weekend? I can only think he is saving the best for last. How did the visits go this week can anybody tell me?
ReplyDeleteI do believe diamond will commit this week.Ya washington is up at kentucky this weekend.TomVh will probably have an update on the visits either sometime this week.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Washington is going to let Stanford do all the leg work this weekend then fill him in before he decides if he wants to visit?
ReplyDeleteI think stanford will fill him in alot about michigan but I think washington will take a visit to ann arbor regardless.Plus he has a top five so he will have time to visit all those schools by the time he decides.
ReplyDeleteI think that most of us, myself included, have been wonderfully and easily spoiled.
ReplyDeleteGreat recruits have given a verbal, not only fast and furious, but in pairs.
It's time for all of us to sit back and take a deep breath.
The remaining recruits are mostly stellar prospects. While a few may know in their heart where their destiny lies, most are still gathering information before their final high school season.
The reality of the situation is that we can hope for very sporadic surprises from now on, but the recruits that will really put smiles on fans faces will likely stick to their own timetables from here, until signing day.
With that being said, some of them have indicated that they won't wait very long. But the ones who have not specified a time table, will likely not commit until Winter.
It might be a nice post, Benji, to list in table form the guys on the board, and what/when/how they have indicated they plan on making a decision.
As usual, I'm suggesting a lot of work for someone else!!!
Who do you think we go after if Wilson goes somewhere that is not michigan? do we go after Yuri Wright even though he is one of those tweener CB/S guys or do we go after another true safety? Every opinion welcome here
ReplyDeleteWell the only other safety we are really in the running for is Elijah Shumate..who is a SS, which we don't need ,we need a FS instead. If yuri wright wants to come I wouldn't mind..mattison could transform him into a safety but I would like a true on instead.
ReplyDeleteLogan, Yuri Wright is verging on that level of, you take him no matter what. He's the #3 CB in the nation, and has great size at 6'1 185lbs. Even if UM takes Wilson, they'd be awfully tempted to take Wright as well, and probably would given his talent.
ReplyDeleteRight now though, Wright remains a longshot until that visit actually happens.
well I have read several updates on Zach Banner on several blogs on price per head bookmaking site and this one by far is the best, seriously!
