- The main news today is that Ohio Safety prospect Allen Gant is on campus for an unofficial visit. Allen is the son of former Michigan player Tony Gant, and he's also the cousin of UM legend Charles Woodson. Michigan has yet to offer Allen, but that could well change today.
- ESPN is reporting that Michigan is now in the mix for offensive guard Evan Boehm (Lee's Summit, MO); who's an ESPN150 watch lister. Michigan will need to get a visit fairly soon, as he's got a nice offer list that includes Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and others.
- Royce Jenkins-Stone reportedly picked up an offer from Miami (Fl), and he seems interested. Maybe Mattison will stop using the Ray Lewis reference on him now, seen as Lewis was a Hurricane.
- Lastly, here's a good look at the top players in the state of Michigan from Scout.com's Allen Trieu, who profiles the top 16 guys in Sam Webb's DetNews column.
according to Bleacherreport we are in the top two, along with notre dame for a 6'3" wide out named Malik Gilmore. Have you heard anything on him? He seemed pretty interested in Michigan and would like to have an official visit to UM in the fall. I just cant belive that i haven't heard anything about him yet.
ReplyDeleteWell Michigan has offered a lot of Wide Receivers in this class, and Gilmore hasn't really talked about Michigan before, so he's relatively unknown to the UM fan base right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm also slightly skeptical that the article didn't have an actual quote saying Michigan is in my top two. Anyway, we'll just wait and see if he sets up a visit for the spring/summer.
