Matt Godin Update

Defensive End Matt Godin (Novi, MI) will be on campus today for an unofficial visit, just days after receiving an offer from the Wolverines. As mentioned before, Godin is lifelong Michigan fan and a commitment today is not out of the question.

Godin is already rated as a three star prospect on scout.com, and would make a nice start to Michigan's 2012 class. He has other offers from Michigan State, Syracuse, Duke and Cincinnati.

  2. I hope these recruits who claim to be heavy Michigan leans dont change their mind soon as another school comes calling like this past recruiting cycle ...Yes you Kris Frost , Anthony Zettel ,Jacob Fisher etc... These guys who claim to be lifelong Michigan fans and claim Mich is their dream school but yet you decide to go somewhere else you are all some punks

  3. These guys bitch and moan that we didnt offer them at first but then get the offer and decide to wait and explore your options ..If thats the case Mich should have waited with their offer if you were gonna play this game of waiting to see

  6. We need either RJS, T-Rich or James Ross to commit,I'm sure that if one committed the others would be swayed our way.

  7. Benji...Do you think the Tennessee allegations might change Dan Obrien's mind about leaning towards the Vols?

  8. Well, it would depend on how serious the actual violations are, and when the punishment for those violations are given out. I believe Michigan's NCAA ordeal hurt recruiting a little bit, but RR and DB handled it very well.
The alleged rule breaking also occured before Derek Dooley took over, and recruits will take this into consideration.
So its hard to guess right now, but I believe Michigan will land O'Brien eventually regardless of Tennessee's problems; although they might help speed things up.

  9. I also recall us offering a DE from Texas Mario Edwards I think. He is listed as the 3rd best player in the country right now. Is this for real?
