Carl Davis (Sterling Heights, MI) is a three star defensive end who grew up supporting the Wolverines, however when it comes to schools recruiting him, he has a new favourite.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are the frontrunner, “Iowa is recruiting me the hardest,” Davis said. “I really like the coaches. Coach Kirk Ferentz is a great guy and I like how they get along with the players. It’s a great atmosphere there for football. The team is very together and tight. They seem very hungry to win.”
One reason Iowa might be ahead is because Michigan hasn't actually offered yet, but like Tim Jackson (see previous post), UM has asked Davis for some game film and might consider offering after the first few games of the season.
Davis has said an offer from the Wolverines will probably earn them a top five spot in his recruitment, along with other schools such as Iowa and Michigan State.
