Louis Nix, a four star defensive tackle and current Miami commit has said today he will still be considering other schools. Scout.com's #11 DT says he will definately visit Notre Dame on September 19th for their matchup with Michigan State, and that he will also be considering Michigan, along with Florida and Florida State.
Michigan needs all the help it can get at the defensive tackle position right now, as the chance of Sharrif Floyd joining Michigan took a bit of a hit this week when he said Michigan probably won't get an official visit.
Vince Helmuth, once a full-back, now a defensive tackle just left the program, and although he wasn't a projected starter, there is a severe lack of depth at the position.
One DT the Wolverines should be hopeful about is Terry Talbott, who ranks Michigan as his leader right now, however he is only a three star prospect, and only 265lbs. I would love to see Michigan add an elite prospect to form a formidable partnership with big Will Campbell in years to come, so the news that Nix is considering us is good to hear.
