Jamaal Jackson Update

Three star running back Jamaal Jackson (Newark, DE) just named Michigan in his top three schools along with Rutgers and East Carolina. He is scout.com's #75 running back....personally if we were going to give another place to a RB, I would prefer it to be someone of Eduardo Clements caliber.

I know ratings aren't everything, and many three star players become great players in college (e.g Mike Hart, Braylon Edwards), but unless this guy has a breakout year I don't think it would be wise to add him to the class.

However I think right now he probably favours ECU, they have mentioned using him like Chris Johnson....as far as I know Jamaal Jackson doesn't run a 4.24 forty! Playing time will also be a factor in Jackson's recruiting, another reason why he probably doesn't favour Michigan right now.

Rich Rod mentioned to Jackson that he might have to play in the slot, similar to another RB recruit of this class, Tony Drake. Anyway, he plans a December/January committment, so we'll see how things progress over the next few months.
