The September 12th matchup against Notre Dame is important for many reasons. Michigan start off the 2009 campaign with four home games, with the Irish being the hardest test, if Michigan can go 4-0 through that stretch, it could set up a very interesting season for the Wolverines.
However, September 12th will also be a big day for recruiting, as Michigan entertain Florida CB Tony Grimes, LB/S Josh Furman (MD) and 2011 Florida RB Demetrius Hart. Current Michigan commit Tony Drake will also be at the game.
A convincing victory over rivals Notre Dame might just secure a committment from some of these prospects.
