Jordan Diamond has committed to Auburn, best of luck to him there. Michigan's hopes for a 5th offensive lineman are now pinned on Alex Kozan, who will decide between UM, Auburn and maybe Iowa? Does Diamond committing to Auburn help our chances with Kozan? Here's hoping.
lost 27 seniors..., can you say rebuild! Good Luck but hugh mistake, time will tell but hugh mistake!
ReplyDeleteIt is what it is. Good luck to him. But not a shock.
ReplyDeleteIf he ain't BLUE in his heart, we don't want him anyhow!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo why did we get shut out at years end. I know they can recruit. We got a great class, but to lose on every single kid at the end seemed impossible a month ago and somehow happened. Can it really just be bad luck?
ReplyDelete..., Diamond waiting 2 extra days says alot. If you need a special spotlight, maybe your not a Michigan Man. I hope Alex Kazon realizes this and jumps on this train because it going places!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you a Michigan Man? Would a Michigan Man rip an 18yr old kid for choosing a different school other than Michigan for football? He waited 2 days because that is what is coach wanted the kids to do.

DeleteWasn't ripping the kid, but you have to agree an 18 year old kid isn't solely making this decision by himself. Parents, HS coaches and administrators as well as potential college coaches have a serious influence on what will be a very important decision.
DeleteJust thought he would have a brighter future here than there!
Go Blue
Why were all the experts right on every commit except this one?
ReplyDeletemust be I'll "shock the world" attitude!
DeleteThe experts were wrong on the te to OK also.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I am talking about from Sam Webb:Before Diamond's announcement we were hearing that Auburn & #Michigan were out front Alex Kozan. Does Diamond's decison = UM lead? #We'llSee
ReplyDeleteWatch in the morning he will pull a 180 degree turn.
You talking about Sam Webb right... If not he'll most likely change his story by the morning....
DeleteIowa lost there OC O'keefe resined
ReplyDeleteNo he took another job!!!!!!!
Deletehttp://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=ap-iowa-okeefe
DeleteHe isnt at Iowa anymore, he resigned
He resigned to take another job at a different school.......
DeleteThats what my first post said?
DeleteHe had to resigned before he done that didnt he?
anyone know time table for Alex Kazon to announce his committment to Michigan?
ReplyDeleteYeah they say within the next 36 hrs. but it might be before that anyhow... If Kozan really is thinking about going Blue it shouldn't take long......
DeleteDude that's twice in your 2 posts, It's Kozan not Kazon...
ReplyDeletepotatos - patotos - just get 'ur done!
DeleteOkay people let's quit knocking every kid who doesn't commit to Michigan. Literally 30 minutes ago people are on here saying how much we could use him then he doesn't commit and he's called selfish for wanting spotlight! It's simple good luck to Diamond and we move on!
ReplyDeleteThank you! good grief. Its a kid making a choice.
DeleteYou gotta be kidding me. Grow up and act like grown men. Some people on here. Really...Huge mistake...based on what. I think Benji needs to set up an I.Q. test that has a minimum entrance score to be allowed to write on this blog. Then we could eliminate the trash on here and have some intelligent conversations.
ReplyDeleteI find it funny that you want to talk about a kid...yes a kid like that. Meanwhile I read that a friend of mine has a son who is being seen at U of M hospital. Today he got to see a bunch of the players on the football team who are visiting the sick kids there. That is what Michigan football is all about. Act like you know what is actually important because the guys you cheer for on Saturday in the fall...those guys actually get it.
Well said guys.
DeleteYes, it was an emotional response after waiting with hopeful anticipation..., but lets see where Michigan is in 4 to 5 years vs Auburn.., wish Diamond best of luck - Michigan will be in a better place.
DeleteRight now UM is 0 for 5 on resent recruits so I am not getting my hopes up for Kozan. He always had a spot at UM if he wanted it so why wait if you want to go to UM. If coach Hoke has not already call Gibbs and offered him he will by morning so Kozan needs to make up his mind before Hoke pulls his offer. Coach Hoke wants UM to be your first choose not your last choose.
ReplyDeleteRecent*, Called*, Choice*, Choice*.
DeleteDont be a victim. before that we were 25 for about a thousand. I love our class! Go Blue!
DeleteJustin thanks for the spell check. It was late and I have had a long week. Like hitting a wild boar with my car. And that was the least of my problem this week.
DeleteSay what ? - I got lost reading this post.
ReplyDeleteI like the IQ test idea. You know the OSU moles would never get through! Here's me keeping my fingers crossed for Kozan. He really is the best fit for our needs. Diamond, while I like him and believe he will be a great talent for Auburn, was really a bit of a luxury at this point. We'll get high quality in the 13 class. Good Luck Diamond!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone happen to see Michigan Basketball commit Zak Irvin's game to night the kid have like 23 points in the first half or 2nd quarter I think it was but anyway he's a commit for the class 2013 and looks like a good one at 6'5".... Sam Webb Tweeted it....
ReplyDeleteSorry meant had like.
Delete1 of our '13 recruits had a quad double last night too.
DeleteI think he had another triple double tonight as well, I believe he is a PG too. It's early but he is looking like a pretty good future replacement for Burke.
DeleteI'm guessing Auburn got the checkbook out to lure Diamond away from the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteProbably did the same with Kozan. That's why he couldn't pull the trigger on signing day. If they aren't bleeding Blue don't want 'em anyway.
Well I'm kinda disappointed I was hoping Mr Diamond went Blue. I wish him the best. I guess now I'm hoping Mr Kozan the best too in making the right choice and going Blue.
ReplyDeleteMost importantly, now that this is almost over I really can not wait to start with the 2013 class. I know we have 2 great commits all ready. The mid-west seems loaded with talent for 2013. We might not have 25 in next years class but I am thinking it will be as good or better than the 2012 class.
Benji or SimplyComplex: Do you know who the top 10 or 15 players in the state this year (2013)
ReplyDeletethis year are*
ReplyDeletePoet Thomas, Wyatt Shallman, Jon Reschke, Riley Norman, Luke Maclean, Jourdan Lewis, Detroit, MI, Nate Jeppesen, Khalil Hill, Kenton Gibbs, Cameron Dillard, Shane Morris, Steve Elmer
DeletePulled these off ESPN
Elmer already committed to ND. That'a a shame.
Deleteare those the top 10 or just a list of some in-state guys
ReplyDeletesome of them are just interested in UM others have recieved offers. Many are listed in the top 150
Deleteok, thanks
DeleteGibbs wouldn't be a bad addition. He's a big dude and with time and development 3 stars can be just as good as 5 stars. This was a great class, I love our D-Line and linebackers. We added some true safeties, and a great CB. Our O-line is gonna be bad ass and we got a couple of bigger receivers which we need. So what if we struck out on some sprinkles for our mammoth sundae, it's still a great sundae. GO BLUE!!
ReplyDeleteJoe Bolden is the sleeper in this year's class...gonna be a stud and the LB we have been missing for the past 4 years.
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt consider a 4* early enrollee a sleeper. He's just a stud lol he will be good. I wouldnt be surprised if he takes morgan's spot
Deletewasnt the end to the 12 class that i was expecting, but we still have multiple future studs in this class. GO BLUE
ReplyDeleteI am very happy with this class. The only reason I wanted Diamond and Kozan in this class was for the depth UM needs at O line. UM did what they needed to do with this class. Fill holes and reload at other positions. And they did that.
ReplyDeleteUM had a couple of walk on's last year. I think there name's were Glasglow and there was a weight lifter are they still with the team?
Yeah It would have been nice to get Diamond and yes this class is really great but we do need Kozan in this class for depth at center and Kozan might even start if he can grasp the offense quickly but man I do love this class tho...........
ReplyDeleteWhat I believe is most frustrating for everyone is that we had a "really great class" a month + ago. If we could have delivered in that last month, we may have had the best class in the nation. That being said, this is a really great class and I am looking forward to competing for a B10 championship.
ReplyDeleteThe class rankings I really don't care about it's the talent I want an that's what we have and IF we can add Kozan we will only add more talent to the pile the we already have here......
ReplyDeleteKozan will announce within 36 hours. source ESPN
ReplyDeleteWe already know this....
DeleteShould be within13 hours by now...
Deletehttp://thisismichiganfootball.blogspot.com/2012/02/breaking-down-ohios-class-with-eleven.html?m=0
ReplyDeletewant you guys to read this, might be a good thing to hear what the team down south has done. The guy believes james ross is michigans best defensive player in the class
When does the 36 hours start? Because I seen that yesterday around noon.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I want to know cuz if it has already begun then he don't have much more time to go..
DeleteIf he was truly announcing within 36 hours of the 1st time we heard this, then it has to be before we go to bed tonight.
DeleteDavon,
ReplyDeleteCan you start a new post? Maybe something more positive?
Who is visiting UM this weekend? And who is looking to commit early?
ReplyDeleteI think logan tuley Tillman is at uofm this weekend
ReplyDeleteoh that is sweet!! I was waiting for Diamond to commit to Jordan Auburn after I read an article at Hostpph.com about this possibility
ReplyDelete
