Spartanburg's Cornelius Jones (Michigan QB commit) has had a storybook run in the playoffs this year, turning in several great performances against some of the top teams in South Carolina. Sadly the run came to an end in the state semi-finals against James Byrnes High School.
Byrnes is lead by scout.com's #2 overall prospect, Marcus Lattimore. He had 186 yards and four scores on 19 carries (9.7 average).
How did Jones fair in this matchup? Did Lattimore steal the show? Or did Jones open some eyes in a losing effort?
ReplyDeleteJones threw 10 of 19 passes for 114 yards and a TD, but didn't fair so well in his rushing. He's turned a lot of heads during the playoffs, putting in some great performances. They were within one point of Byrnes until 2:33 left in the first half of this game.
