Amara Darboh, welcome aboard!

Wide Receiver Amara Darboh has committed to Michigan, per 247 Sports. He tweeted #Go Blue about 30 mins ago too! The commitment to Michigan was expected, the only question was whether he'd visit Florida before announcing, and I think he made the right choice!

According to some, Darboh has been a Michigan lean for a long time, but needed to convince his circle that Michigan was definitely the right place for him.

More to come in the commitment post, which will be up either later tonight, or early tomorrow morning.

  1. Kind of ....ahem...sweet that this is the second best news for Michigan football today wink wink

Seriously this is awesome...I'm excited to have his speed, character, and height for our team for next year. Go Blue!

  5. I think Chesson could announce soon for us, but probably after his Iowa visit.

  6. I don't think this announcement affects the other recruits very much but it will definitely affect the likes of Chesson, Madaris, Diggs and Payton. I really hope this encourages Diggs to take a more serious look at us in the very near future. I'd be happy with any of these guys, but I just hope he looks at us more/takes a visit before the last WR spot gets locked up by someone else. Hopefully with a Sugar Bowl announcement tonight he'll get serious about it.

  7. I know this is off topic but Scouts has moved AJ Williams from a TE to OT. I quess UM is moving forward without taking another O linemen?

  9. I think Williams will still start at TE, scout just think he'll be better at OT

  10. We are still after Garnett!! I was at the Alumni Day at the M Den today and spoke with Sam Webb. He said that we officially have zero chance at Diggs, but things are very promising for Wright and Chesson. Dunn and McNamara will be interesting finishes.

  11. So does this take Payton out of the picture? I know he seemed like had a very favorable chance of deciding on Michigan, but does he look elsewhere now?

  12. It was nice when Diggs was talking about UM and how he'd love to play with Countess in college, but realistically its just not going to happen.

  13. Benji,
Twitted that a friend of a friend that knew somebody from ESPN or something like that. That UM will play VT in the Sugar Bowl at first I did not like that match up but the more I think about it the more I do like it. If Clemson can beat them twice with a offence like UM's then I feel alot better about that match up. UM will have to D up.

  14. Sam Webb said that coaches went to his high school Friday and Stefon had already left for his official to Cal. His high school coach didn't even know he left for California. Payton v Chesson...whoever commits first.

  18. Williams has played OT this year for his high school team. I'm guessing he will be the blocking TE that Borges wants til he grows into a tackle.

  19. Amara Darboh is going to be a great WR at Michigan!!! What a great early Christmas present. Welcome to Michigan, Amara.

Regarding AJ, it's nice to have that versatility. Coaches can use him at either or both OL and TE. Will help both those groups.
