BCS Update

Michigan jumped an amazing four spots to #12 in the final coaches poll, all but securing us a place in the top 14 of the BCS standings. Michigan State (#13), Georgia, Houston and Oklahoma all dropped below us after suffering losses this weekend.

Alabama remained at #2 in the coaches poll, which means they'll probably play for the national title. Therefore we'll end up in the Sugar Bowl vs some random team, maybe KSU or BSU.

  1. I'd rather it be K-State than Boise...the Kellen Moore/Boise talk is played out. Cinderella blah blah blah...shut them out of the BCS if they're not in the top 6. Go join a real conference son! Just sayin...

  2. I'd rather play K-State purely because I don't think we'd beat Boise St in a bowl game. When they have loads of time to prepare for games, like their usual season opening 'big' game, or their bowl games, they come out playing really well.

  3. Id love the opportunity to play Boise. Wouldnt you want to be the team that finally shuts these clowns up? Kellen Moore this, Boise defense that. One day very soon someone is going to thump em, and I would love to be that team.

  8. No way does K-State get an at-large bid. Do the voters not remember that they BARELY beat FBS Eastern Kentucky??? Not that I wouldn't love to play them, because I think we would beat their ass handily.

  9. A Sugar Bowl invite is good for at least 1 commit if not 2.

  10. A lot of people seem to think it could be Darboh or Dunn...maybe they're waiting to time it following the announcement of which bowl we'll be playing in.

  11. BTW we made another offer on a 2013 recruit today. RB/LB Dorian O'Daniel. He goes about 6'1, 200 lbs-ish maybe 205 according to some sites. 40 yard dash timed at 4.55. Coaches could have him as a LB recruit. He looks like he's an early 4-star recruit. Oh yeah, and he plays for Good Counsel...

  12. If Dunn does not commit before X-mas then he is not coming to UM. Early enrollment is first week of the Jan. right.
