It seems like a few Ohio St fans have been exploiting the new settings of 'anyone can comment', and this doesn't sit well with me :P Therefore I've changed it back to the old settings where you have to have an account to post.
Ohio St fans: Just remember, 40-34 and 58–43–6. Those are key numbers! You can brag all you want about your win streak, I'm sure I would have done the same had I been around for Michigan's NINE game winning streak, but in the end, the only thing that matters is the last game, and the overall record. The last game shows who has the current bragging rights, and the overall record shows which program is winning the rivalry.
Hail to the Victors!!
ReplyDeleteget the suckeyes off here
boom roasted.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone here who follows Allen Trieu on Twitter and can understand what his retweet from David Perkins mean?
ReplyDeleteDoes it mean Michigan is recruiting him as a WR and he is going to take a visit?
Also thanks for going back to the old posting system.
Nevermind, he cleared it up 10 minutes later. Looks like Michigan is after him to play WR, could be a new name for the projected class.
ReplyDeleteWow, some ohio fans must be really torn up about their recent loss that they feel the need to make false comments on a UM blog.
ReplyDeleteevery body remember this name JUWUAN PAYTON future michigan star
ReplyDeleteThanks for throwing out the romur mills! Atleast if someone gets on with news we will know it at minimum has some credibility. Jgrubbs....are you saying a new wr is in the mix? Maybe benji is off on our projected wr? Or who knows maybe they are trying to pressure one into a commitment by introducing a competition for the spot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for gettn rid of the haters...and perfect way to tell them off, couldn't have done it better myself! There just mad that their seven year winstreak is over and from now on there actually going to have to work to beat us! Can u smell the fear!
ReplyDeleteBummer about dunn but nothing I'm freaking out about....I just hope he knows what he's getting himself into and what he's giving up...but good luck to em except against us of course, the only reason I wanted him is cuz it woulda really made ohio mad and I have the utmost confidence in hoke and his staff bringing in the right kids for our style of play....btw who wants dunn when we have fitz!!!
Go blue!
What's the over/under on # of recruits Meyer turns into jailbirds?
ReplyDelete@futureUofMstar....Ok I'll remember Juwuan Payton...you just tell him to make sure he handles business on the field and in class!!!
ReplyDelete@Starpro I do lol 3.8 gpa
ReplyDeleteOk I give! Who is Juwuan Payton? I tried to look him up and got nothing.
ReplyDeletefreshman at renaissance H.S
ReplyDelete@ futurestar...... well if you bleed maize and blue like the rest of us and are accepted by Hoke and his staff you will be accepted by the rest of us with open arms. keep your eyes on the prize
ReplyDeleteJust watched the David Perkins video and WOW! We need to get him on campus ASAP. I'd take him over Brionte any day of the week.
ReplyDeletewas in the ace chat and he said the last 5 are
ReplyDeletechessen
wright
reeves
kozan
grant
but will try to get garnett over kozan and get a QB over grant.
btw, how do i change my name from eb2tgyhuhudj?
oh, and Monty Madaris was a backup plan if Chesson is a noncommittal
ReplyDelete@ bendy thanks cant wait to play in greatest rivalry in all of sports
ReplyDelete@e2b...... create a google account and that will also create a blog account which lets you comment on wonderful UM blogs like this one
ReplyDeleteBenji,
ReplyDeleteDo you see the coaches looking for a similar number of OL recruits in 2013, especially considering the lack of depth and the DL they're building at Ohio?
@future....i love your enthusiasm...passion for the sport and the u of m is the qualities that I love to see out of our recruits and players. Mike Hart was never the most talented player, but his passion and the fact that he bled blue made us all love him. Keep that passion...it is a great quality!
ReplyDelete@Juwan: Isn't Renaissance High School a Michigan St pipeline? I remember MSU got Lawrence Thomas out of there.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, if you work hard, anything is possible; so best of luck to you in getting into Michigan - the greatest university in the state for sure!
@fursty, I think OL will be a strong focus of the 2013 class. They've already offered a bunch of 2013 OL like Tuley-Tillman and Bosch. I don't think they'll take as many as this year, but they could get to 4, maybe 5.
ReplyDeletethanks and yes it is but when im recruited there wont be any doubt were my allegiance lies not in the sec or michigan state and NEVER EVER ohio state
ReplyDeletehaha good stuff man. Go Blue!
ReplyDeleteKalis's FB profile pic is him in a #67 Michigan jersey with Coach Hoke and his mom in his arms! Kyle isn't going anywhere. Hoke and Co. will wrap up this class in style and get 2013 moving right along.
ReplyDeleteThis may be a reach but I like our chances with Garnett since he and Magnuson are tight. Final players for this class:
Yuri Wright
Armani Reeves (Gant may play WR)
Sam Grant (Kalis' teammate)
Jehu Chesson (wish Diggs was realistic tho, such a talent)
Josh Garnett (probably Kozan, but Boehm would be great too)
Current winning streak: Michigan
ReplyDeleteLongest streak in series: Michigan
Series record: Michigan
World attendance record: Michigan
As for Dunn, I have not had a chance to read anything about him lately. If he's a bucky, good for him. He probably followed his heart. I think he has the potential to be great, but as I've said before, he's just another 4-5 star TB.
How many are there every year? How many become stars? What was that kids name that went to AL, and spelled doom for Michigan's running game?
Dunn to buckyville only means one thing: Michigan will have the pick of the litter in 2013. I think the number one QB, a top 5 TB, and a top 5 OL sounds just about right.
This class will continue to evolve. We will lose a LB, and we will gain some surprise prospects. Signing day is still a long way away.....
We won't lose a LB, Bolden and Ringer are enrolling early, and RJS and James Ross are the heart of the class, I don't they'll leave
ReplyDelete@FutureUofMStar, I love your attitude and I will welcome you to U-M with open arms, you will get a great education and play for a high character guy who will help develop you into a great man.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your high school career and academics, stay cool my man! And Go Blue!!!
good move
ReplyDeleteI watched some film on Perkins he looks better as a RB then WR. But I would take him at either position. Go Blue
ReplyDeletePerkins looks great. I also love the declaration of victory of a player they technically already had.. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteHoke and Mattison and Co. will finish strong just watch.
I just watched Garnetts film... and I must say, its the most impressive Oline film ive seen. He is tossing kids around like that movie the blind side.. quite funny.
Wright and Reeves... I think everyone loves Wright, and my only question is on Reeves... Michigan has T rich, if they get Reeves, and they have offered Shaq Wiggins? not one of those guys are over 5'10. I know size isnt always everything, but that is pretty small.
Maybe Dunn would've been a great steal, because that's what he would've been, a steal. I don't think we could've counted on him from the start, just would've been nice. Oh well if he goes to that other school, the bigger little brother.
ReplyDeleteONE player like that will not make, or break, a recruiting class anyway. Besides, we have Fitz and some younger backs that we don't know all they can do for us yet. Remember, Hart and Kevin Grady were VERY comparable as far as career numbers and level in high school. Grady was bigger, should've been a bruiser. But, thinks didn't work out as well for Grady as they did Hart, and they both came in the same year. A 5* can turn into a 1* very quickly, and a walk-on can turn into a 4 or 5* very quickly as well, ask Kovacs.
Also, we want players who WANT to be here. I didn't want Pryor with all the back and forth crap, and same with Dunn. IF you want to be Blue, you will be. If you're not sure, you're probably not the right fit for here anyway. I'll take 100 Kovacs' over 100 Dunn's and Pryors with the back and forth anyday. Michigan men do not become Michigan men just because they're playing for UM. They are born Michigan, raised Michigan, or fall in love when they set foot on campus. THOSE are the players we want at Michigan, at least the types I want
Amen JCreager. hey Dunn would have been nice but hey we still got guys who can play ball!!!!!!!!!and another thing it seems to me like fans are afraid of Urban Meyer? I just want to remind everyone that we had some guy by the name of Brady Hoke who took a not very talented U of M team and went 10-2 in his first year. I dont know about you but that makes me very excited why? Well becuase I cant wait till he recruits what he wants also Urbans best recruiter and defensive master mind is on our side lines staff comparison we beat them no questions asked THIS IS MICHIGAN GOBLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of an offensive line that consists of Kalis, Magnuson, Braden, Stacey, C. Bryant, Bars and maybe Garnett or Kozan could open up some amazing holes for a large speed back like Drake Johnson. He by himself may not be the pounder that Dunn maybe, but the combination of a fantastic OL opening massive holes, it could be interesting to see what a speedster would look like sprinting through our opponents secondary! Yes, I have downed the Hoke Kool-Aid by the gallon and think that this staff will coach these kids to reach their potential and only amazing things will happen moving forward.
ReplyDeleteWell said Caleb. I agree. Watching the film on Drake with my own eyes, he is the real thing. give me Drake and a pro style offense any day.
ReplyDeleteKeep in there, Benjamin! I am your fan.
ReplyDeleteThe *uckeyes will be sucking wind under Meyer just as under all other coaches who played the game without cheating and without using 26 year old freshmen out of the state prison system.
ReplyDeleteThen again, I am assuming Meyer won't cheat. Now that's a tough one.
Highlight video from this season:

not trying to piss in anyone's cereal, but david perkins has all 5 of his visits set from last weekend into mid-Jan and Mich isn't on that list. Hoke and company will have to try to pry him off of one of his last 3 visits.
ReplyDeleteLSU Jan 21
Michigan State Dec 16
Missouri Dec 9
Ohio State Jan 14
Tennessee Jan 28
Perkins tweeted that he's visiting Michigan, so he's probably removed one of his predetermined visits.
ReplyDeleteBOOOM! Ohio just got Benji-ed.
ReplyDeleteO$U was able to steal Pittman from MSU, I would love see us pull Burbridge away!! That would be insane...it would make going to a BCS bowl over MSU seem minimal!
ReplyDeleteApparently Meyer promised Dunn that he did not have to worry about further sanctions at tSIO. How can a coach so confidently proclaim such a thing? Especially with the sentencing coming down on the 27th? This Ohio situation with the B1G and NCAA is so incredibly shady. I can not fathom the possibility of them coming out of this unscathed. Meyer and Ohio's arrogance makes me sick. People dog on us being arrogant...Ohio is in a league of their own...Almost delusional. Here's the link to the article..
ReplyDeletehttp://fridaynightohio.com/news/dunn-remains-committed-ohio-state-after-meyers-visit
With Pitt's Todd Graham leaving for Arizona State. This could open the door back up for UM in the recruitment of OT Adam Bisnowaty. This could be another option for UM.
ReplyDeleteDavid Perkins, Wow the more I watch his kid the more I would like to see him in this class. Not at LB or WR but RB and the kid likes contact. He would be a outstanding UM player.
How can Meyer say this about sanctions ?
ReplyDelete. “Nothing worse is going to happen.”
I like Drake as well! That pick up reminds me of what the s.e.c. likes to do and thats grab track stars and give them a helmet and pads. He will add a little bulk and the last i checked the man with all the rushing records in ann arbor wasn't very highly thought of coming out of high school as well. Ask Urban if he remembers the 130 yd 2 td game that kid had against him in 08.
ReplyDeleteI'm over it, let Dunn be a buckeye, if he's gullible enough to think he'll get solid production and that THEosu won't have sanctions, he wasn't smart enough to go to Michigan anyways.
ReplyDeleteMoving on.
Knowing that the drama over Dunn is over, there is almost a huge burden lifted and I am honestly just glad there is some closure. I am honestly more troubled by the Pharoah Brown situation than I am by Dunn's. I think that losing out on Dunn might re-energize the staff and get 'em even a little more amped up on the recruiting trail, afterall, these guys are competitors too. They just lost a recruiting battle to Ohio. We are going to end this class strong and also see an amazingly energetic UM kick Va Tech in the Sugar Bowl! Go Blue!
ReplyDeleteIts a LOOONG time between now and Feb boys! Cant wait to see what happens.
ReplyDeleteMeyer is talking out of his ass. I'm sure Gene Smith told Meyer no further action would be taken and that was the rumblings out of the media world said further sanctions were unlikely. But if the NCAA lets OSU off the leash, I think they're gonna hear a lot of angry protesting particularly from USC.
ReplyDelete@JohnVito How do you know the ruling will be on the 27th?
ReplyDeleteI really hope my suspicion of no sanctions is incorrect. It would be a shame. I'm honestly not very upset with Dunn not coming here, it'll prob be for the better. As much as his abilities would have been great in our offense, I believe his absence will be to our benefit.. the dark horse that I believe will find it's way into our class will be David Perkins. I believe our coaching staff will go balls out to wrap these final spots up.
ReplyDeleteI think we have a legit shot at Josh Garnett for the 6th OL spot.
Along with Yuri Wright
Jehu Chesson..his film is very impressive.
Kalis' teammate, Grant
And lastly, David Perkins.
@wolverine903 that's what i've heard from a couple sources. I guess the consensus from a couple reporters is we'll find out within the next couple weeks.. and a date I recall seeing was Dec.27th for the possible sanctions.
ReplyDeleteFrom his twitter account
ReplyDelete@LoganTillman Logan Tuley-Tillman
Dear world Today i was offered a full scholarship to play at the university of michigan god is great
This is some good news hopefully he comes to Michigan Go Blue
It would be very fitting if Urban convinced the recruits that recently committed or re-committed that there will not be any bowl bans or further sanctions...and then there were. This would help to demonstrate the Ohio programs lack of credibility. When the going get's tough, Urban get's going. Just ask Florida.
ReplyDeleteMichigan offered OL Logan TUley-Tillman today. He seems really excited from Michigan and stated it was always his goal to get a scholarship from UofM. He will probably be an early commit, there's an interview with him on mgoblog.
ReplyDeleteI really think we have a better chance with Stefon Diggs than anyone on here is giving us credit for... those quotes that came out a few weeks ago seemed to put us right near the top of his list. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him in the final class
ReplyDeleteThe last I heard, Diggs had planned three OVs and said he might visit UM too. He seems like a shifty young man.
ReplyDeleteIMO... I think you can forget about Diggs. Regardless of the obvious talent, he basically told the coaches F.U. by visiting another school, when he was supposed to meet with UM. If Hoke and Co. truly value character, Diggs is probably off their list.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteIt may be a bit premature to judge his character. The kid is a 5 star HIGH SCHOOL kid with every school under the sun after him... Granted he wasnt there when Michigan went to visit, but ill give him the benifit of the doubt in terms of "lots going on" Do I think he will come to Michigan? I have my doubts, but in terms of his character I think it might be a bit early to dog on the kid. He has had some nice things to say about Michigan, and the fact that he considers them should speak a little bit.. But it still boils down to a 17-18 year old kid with LOTS going on in his life.
ReplyDeleteBenji,
ReplyDeleteBy "lose an LB', I meant from either the roster, or a recruit. I agree, the recruits seems solid. Even the two Ohio kids.....
But LB is obviously tremendously deep after this class. Too deep to keep everyone happy without either a transfer or a position switch, or two.
Kellen Jones was just the start.
My point is, that by signing day, after the bowl practices and after the early enrolling arrivals, there will be one more spot to fill for 2012.
Just natural evolution.
Of course it is pure speculation on my part. But kids love PT. Wherever a team is heavy in talent, they are vulnerable to turnover. Some teams, like Al, even encourage it.
I saw that Cal picked up another WR, putting them at 3 in this class. Does this improve our chances with Payton??
ReplyDeleteI heard Cal is trying to get 5 or 6 WRs in this class so it probably has no effect on Payton and his decision.
ReplyDeleteSomebody essentially lend a hand to make seriously posts I'd state. That is the very first time I frequented your website page and thus far? I amazed with the analysis you made to make this actual put up extraordinary. Wonderful process!
ReplyDeleteSorel Women's Tofino CVS Boot
What is happening with the Kicking game?
ReplyDeletehaha I think that everyone can comment even Ohio fans hahaha and I have seen some host pay per head football fans commenting on here too
