Commitment!

No, it's not Avery Walls, he announces in around 2 hours time.

Three star instate linebacker Desmond Morgan verballed to the Wolverines, announcing it last night on his facebook page, he becomes the 12th member of the class. (Note: Not including Antonio Kinard, as he hasn't been confirmed as in yet.)

The commitment shouldn't come as much of a surprise, Michigan led from the moment they offered; it's his dream school. The timing of his announcement is somewhat strange, but I guess he's one of those that loves Michigan for Michigan, if Coach Rod is still there, that's just a bonus for him. He took his official over the weekend.

Northwestern proved to be the main competition for the Wolverines, but other schools to show interest were Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and Boston College, along with a couple other Big Ten schools that were on the verge of offering.

This is a good pickup for Michigan, it loses two starting linebackers in Mouton and Ezeh this year. Morgan will start off in the middle, which could allow Kellen Jones to move to outside LB.

Full commitment post to follow later.
