Jernigan drops Michigan

Four star defensive tackle Tim Jernigan has apparently dropped both Michigan and USC from his list, citing distance from home as the main reason. It's briefly covered here by his coach.

A while ago I mentioned that Michigan had slid down his list behind LSU and FSU, but it's still disappointing to be removed from the race before the final stretch. Things with Jernigan actually looked quite good after his official visit to Michigan, where he spoke very positively of the Wolverines. But then rumors went around that he wasn't happy in the 3-3-5.

Michigan will now focus on Darian Cooper as their main DT target, he'll be visiting Ann Arbor officially in January. Mickey Johnson of Louisiana is another target, but its doubtful if he'll even visit now.
