Kozan decision

Four star OL Alex Kozan will likely be making his college choice tonight, with Iowa and Michigan the favourites. This is a tough one to call, but there are a lot of people saying Iowa. I think UM still has a decent shot, and Garnett going to Stanford might help us here.

  1. Every site I look at has him going to Iowa. I hope the so called experts are wrong. He would be a nice pick up. He has over 20 offers from some big schools. I also like the fact that he can play Guard or Center.

  2. This could be a really good day or a oh crap what just happened day. I think it well be a OK day with Grant and one other committing to UM.

    1. Meyer will over sign for sure. Look for them to sign around 32.

    2. the big ten only allows 28 to sign at a max in a class, so that wont be happening

  6. Couple quick questions for you Benji

What neighbourhood does Kozan live in?
Does he have a favourite colour?
Do people criticise him when we goes to the theatre and refuses to queue up?

    :)

  7. ESPN has an insider page predicting where top uncommitted recruits will go and they have us picking up Jordan Diamond almost unanimously. Are we still in it for him to this extent? I thought we were kind of on the outside looking in.

    1. Yeah we are still in the running for Diamond and yes he still likes Michigan...

    1. LOL

Chucky, if the person posting happens to be, say from England or Canada then that's how they spell those words there. If I'm not mistaken the only English speaking country that spells it without the "u" is us in the USA. French?

  10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Hoke have an in home visit with him sometime today? Or yesterday? Then he suddenly wants to make his decision? Personally, I think it's a good sign for us! He would be a great pick up seeing as he will probably be the center in this class.

  11. Hoke had a in home with Kozan yesteray. It reminds me of the defesive tackle we got in very late last year that ended up choosing Iowa still.

Hope this year is different. Kozan visited AA last year also, but we will see what happens.

  12. Is it not up to the conference to regulate and punish for over signing?

    1. You are talking about a school that lie, cheats and pays player. And the NCAA let them have 2 head coaches in the month of December one for coaching for the bowl game and one to recruit. Do you really think the NCAA will punish them for over signing?

    2. That is what I am asking, is it up to the Big 10 to regulate that and not the ncaa.

And no I do not think the ncaa would do shit about it even if they are responsible for regulating it.

    3. Early enrollees do not count toward the 28 allowed in a recruiting class. They count toward the previous years class. Ohio State had 6 early enrollees, so they could technically sign 34 and still be in line with the Big Ten and NCAA regulations. Quit complaining about things you do not know about.

  13. Yeah, I wish someone could explain to me how this oversigning actually happens, how people get away with it if it against the rules, and is there oversinging aloud in certain conferences but not in others. I would love to get a better understanding of this.

Also, if Alex Kozan is announcing tonight, does anyone know what time this is supposed to happen?

    1. Check oversigning.com they do a pretty good job of describing how the SEC does it.

  14. Scouts said its possible that 4 of Michigan's recruits could be announcing tonight. I have been checking all day and I haven't even seen one. Thanks scout for your good information lol. You predict 4 players to possibly announce and so far none have.

  16. This is from Davon on Twitter: Alex Kozan will be making his college decision at 10 p.m. All signs point to Iowa, but don't be surprised if he chooses Michigan
