National title game

Ohh my...

That defense. I don't care how bad Jordan Jefferson played, Alabama didn't give them anything. The one positive is that we got to see how Saban/Smart chose to defend against a reasonably mobile quarterback, and now Borges has to think of ways to exploit the system they used (I believe Herbstreit said it was a lot of cover 2 with corners in short zones for run support).

Michigan is going to have to make some serious strides on offense to be able to compete in Dallas on September 1st, no matter how many of their defense goes pro, because the practice of oversigning means that Bama will reload and still have a pretty darn good defense next season...

  1. I agree, that defense might be top 5 in the NFL...SERIOUSLY.

  2. I wanted to record the Nick Saban interview and send it to Al Borges. They asked Saban how did you shut out this LSU offense. He said he stacked the box and was playing the WR in close coverage. Nick Saban is one of the most aggressive coaches on Defense. They said he will give up a 5 yard pass the same as a 50 yard pass. That he will play close coverage because he doesn't even want to give up a yard. The only way to beat this Def is to pass on 1st down and open up the game passing. We will not be able to run against them to start the game. Against Bama you have to open up the passing game before you can run. If you can't get the passing game going against them then their will be no running game.

    ReplyDelete
  3. LSU tried to run on 1st down and it looked the same as Michigan running against v-tech on 1st down. It just wasn't going to happen. LSU never got the passing game going so Bama never took the pressure off them. LSU had no passing game and Bama wasn't going to give them a running game. That's exactly how they are going to play against Michigan. Al Borges needs to let Denard Robinson loose in the passing game and Denard needs to step up and make the passes. If Denard can't make the passes I would rather see him try then just play like LSU and take a beating without even trying to pass down field.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Denard needs to start practicing his throws right now.

Alabama’s defense is scary good. But the game itself was so boring and despite LSU's defense being on the field most of the time, Alabama did not get a TD. I felt like I wasted part of my life watching it....sigh..

Oh, and I still think Saban is an egotistical A-hole. He’s a screamer like Kelly. I just don’t like that approach. If I were going to have my kid play college ball, I would want a coach like Hoke, Kurt Ferentz, Bret Bielema, Pat Fitzgerald or Les Miles type. They don’t yell and scream at players so everyone can see it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Do we forget that FCS school GA Southern hung 21 on bama?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Denard usually can make good throws if he stays in the pocket and sets his feet. He tends to make bad decisions when he scrambles and throws. Against Alabama it would be great to see three step drops and quick passes to guys like Gallon (in other words our fastest players).

    ReplyDelete
  7. @ Northern MI: I wouldn't put Saban in the same class as Kelly. Saban yells, but it's not to degrade his players, he does it to coach them up, and that is what some coaches do. But you know Saban loves his players while Kelly seems to love himself. I have great respect for Saban. Hopefully down the road we won't find out he cheated the entire time to get recruits, I hate when that happens. I do know this, Hoke isn't cheating and Hoke loves his players too, and his classes are starting to look like Bama's! Big Blue is looking good, can't wait for September 1st. Go Blue!!!

  8. @balla I agree with you 100%. And I'd hope to God DR is already working on his throwing game. Everyone seems to forget VT was a top 10 team all year. With a top 10 D all year (much like bama will be next year). VT has won more games since 95 than ANYBODY! bama, LSU, UM, USC, TX. Had a projected 1st rd pick RB. tied us for 6th in total points aloud (17.4 we put up 23). That was a good team! We're not gonna put up 45 on bama and they won't on us either. It'll be a game much like we just watched. (bama LSU)

  9. And to knock Borges play calling in that game, your not only knocking a very experienced coach, your doubting hoke. He is the HC, at any point in the game he couldve told AB to do....whatever. They had a game plan to eat the clock and stay in the game. Reminds me of loyd carr.

  10. I'm actually very interested to see what some of our smaller star players turn into in their careers. Drake Johnson's scouting reports suggest a 4 star athlete and we have two other O-lineman who could develop into some big men once they add some weight. Not to mention Gant at wideout, 3 star guys can become great players like the other guys. The Honey Badger was a 3 star. Right now I'd say our class is only slightly below Bama's, and I mean slightly, but 2013's is already turning into a 5 star galore. Exciting times! Go Blue!!!

  11. way off topic.....

i have 70 dollars. what game should i buy today?

or should i wait for a betta game comes out? what game would that be and when does it come out?

sorry to be off topic but its important. thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  12. sports_guru1992, Battlefield 3 and Skyrim would both be worthwhile purchases. I own them both and in my opinion they are the two best games of the year. Mass Effect 3 is coming out though and I'm willing to bet it will be amazing. Anyway, if Alabama really does lose 7 players on each side of the ball that would really help Michigan out. I think Michigan will need at least two big plays on either special teams or defense (not scores necessarily, but plays that give Michigan good field position).

    ReplyDelete
  13. @smokey420:
VaTech is a solid team, but they didnt beat a ranked opponent all year and I think we all know that the ACC is a joke. Last year's VaTech team was much better and they got blasted by Stanford in the Orange Bowl.

That being said, it was a good win for us, but nothing that should tell us that we can compete with Bama.

    ReplyDelete
  14. thanks knux, well appreciated. anyone else got more games for me to buy?

by the way, its a win/win game when it comes to the alabama game. if we win, we will have confidence for the rest of the season....... if we loose, then we can learn from our mistakes and adjust to what we do better to win out. also, we would be playing agiants the top school in the nation.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't think Michigan is going to get blown out.
The Alabama vs Penn State game was only 27 to 11. That game was only a two score game(16 points).

    ReplyDelete
  16. say what you want michigan will not do well against alabama. still growing but dr will have a year for the coachs to develope a plan for him. he will be better in 13 vs 12. they might suprise you against alabama donot hold ur breath.

    ReplyDelete
  17. One thing for those not impressed with Bama's offense last night is to remember they were playing against the 2nd best defense in the nation (behind their own). LSU was undefeated for a reason and Bama was 2nd in the SEC in total offense this year. Bama's offense is fine, not a machine a la Oregon or Okla St, but good enough to do the job when you have the best defense in the nation.

While I do think Alabama is better than Michigan and will probably be again next year, there is not a more perfect time to play them. Bama's first game with numerous new starters in the craziest stadium ever. Not to beat a dead horse, but I think the Stonum decision could affect this game by as many as ten points. Stonum is 6'2 and physical enough to handle himself against Bama's DB's and can also block well on the edge. If we have to go with Roundtree, Gallon and Dileo as our top three (all less than 5'10) our passing game could be in BIG trouble. Stonum's ability to be physical and get off the line vs press coverage will be much needed. I am praying for some mercy from Hoke and that Stonum's latest offense is not as it appears to be. With all that said, I think he will probably be asked to leave the program.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I guess it all just depends on if he can throw. If he can't make good reads, we're gonna lose more big games than we win. We know he can run, as does the other teams. I'm gonna Twitter DR tell him we can play catch and smoke mad tree all summer, get rite! Lmao

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Caleb

UM does have a couple FR recievers I would expect to see, Chesson 6'3 175, darboh 6'2 200. I'd like to see one of the TE's to step up early aswell. Who does everyone think will play TE with koger gone?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Brandon Moore will be the starting TE next year. Preferred walk-on from 2010 Dylan Esterline may get an opportunity as well. Devin Funchess is very thin and needs to add a good 40 pounds to do all that Hoke & Borges expect out of their tight ends. Furthermore, AJ Williams will really need to work on his hands if he expects to play early.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Caleb,
I just do not see how Stonum can stay. So many chances and lying to the court system and then the history over the past 3 years. That all adds up to dismissal. It's too bad, I like the kid, but we have to show the rest of the team your responsible for stupid decisions.

    @HoneyWolve-
I am not going to accuse him of anything, but you read about his recruiting ways, and it doesn't always seem "clean". He seems to be on the edge. And then the oversigning. He is a good coach, but I think he has some character flaws. Kind of looks like Dantonio, like he would like to kill someone.

    ReplyDelete
  22. While Alabama's defense was extremely good in that game, and most the season, lets not forget...

LSU's offense is TERRIBLE. they are 73rd in the league for total offense. Michigan was around 40? And thats with significant scheme "woe's".

Also, don't forget the Borges Effect for QB's. We all know Denard CAN throw the ball, quite well in fact, when he sets his feet and goes through his progressions. Given that Denard will have the entire off-season, and the coaches can implement more of what they are trying to do, I expect Denard to throw the ball better next season. I think we all expected him to take a step back this year, and I'm not saying he'll be Tom Brady out there, but don't be surprised if he puts up some pretty decent numbers.

Also, as mentioned, Alabama will lose a lot of their defense this year. Granted they will reload as always, but I think it's in our favor that we get them early in the year. The only thing they can prepare for is what they have seen us do THIS season, and we are making adjustments during the offseason. Advantage goes to Michigan because we already know their schemes, just look at the tape. They just won a NC, they arent adjusting anything, I promise you that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. DR (like any decent QB) throws fine when given time. He just isn't as good throwing under pressure. Better off if he just takes off if under pressure. Against VT he had NO TIME to set. We got clobbered on the line, couldn't run against them either. So protection is key for DR to have a good passing day.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Congrats to Bama. I don't care who the players are or who they are playing you can not give Nick Saban 40+ days to prepare for a game. If Borges can get the offence up to full speed and fill in the position from the departing seniors then UM will hold there own. If it is a shout out UM will win.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Getting Reeves to switch from PSU to UM maybe alittle hard then we thought. PSU hired Ted Roof fromer DC for Auburn the last couple of years. I hope Mattison really goes after him.

  27. It seems where ever I go, everybody is saying about how Bama is going to murder Michigan next year... I mean why even play them? Some of you have already crowned them already based on lastnights performance.
A few things to consider here.

    1. If Boise state can beat Oklahoma in a bowl game, Michigan can certainly beat Alabama.
    2. Bama's had a very impressive Defense. But comon.. I think Jordan Jefferson had money on this game... he was downright awful! Not since Rex Grossman in the superbowl have a seen a poorer QB performance. Also they had a guy in Lee that won them 9 games and he never took a snap? It was almost like Les Miles had turned into Coach Kline for the Mud dogs.
    3. A FCS school hung 21 pts on Bama this year. they are NOT invincible.
    4. You can can point to the similarities of the VT game, but you also have to consider that both Denard and Molk were hurt in that game. Also at Halftime Lewan was limping considerably. Watching the contrast in terms of escapability between DR and Jefferson it seems to me that JJ is just big and slow. Took him a while to get to top speed, and I realize part of that may be in fact to the overall team speed of Bama. But I certainly think that DR is > Jordan Jefferson.
    5. Nick Saban is one of the best developers of talent in the country. Period. However while I see them reloading, I dont see the same amount of production out of the players they had this year. Hightower and Richardson (yes he will go pro especially with those 2 daughters) alone are irreplaceable. Team Leader Maze is also leaving which will be a big loss to them I think. That being said the two losses in terms of Michigan that really concern me are the loss of our Dline Muscle, and Koger.
    6. Michigan travels well enough to make this less of a home game then most may think. Michigan fans stepped up in the Sugar bowl, and outnumbered the Hokies nearly 2-1. While this wont happen in Dallas, it will be better then most think.

    7. Denard is entering his second year in Borges system, and we all remember the jump he made in his second year of Rich Rods system. Will it be as large a jump? prolly not, but could be considerable.
Bottom line here is while it is certainly a HUGE challenge for this team and program, its not out of the realm of possibility to think we can be competitive let alone have a shot at winning this game.

We have 8 months to find out.

    Go Blue

    ReplyDelete
  28. I wan't to echo what lalondtm said and expand on it. I don't think anyone would argue that Alabama will be the more talented team come September but they are losing as many as 7 guys on defense. While their backups may be talented, it will still be the first start for a lot of those guys. I like Michigan's chances to score a lot more in Bama's first game then their 8th.

As for Saban, its kind of crazy to think he was actually the head coach of Sparty at one point. I think he is shady but not dirty (if that makes any sense).

    ReplyDelete
  29. @jgrubbs
As many as 7 guys does not mean 7 guys. As of right now they are only losing 5 starters on Def. If the rest of the guys return they could have the #1 Def in the country again. Hopefully more guys leave. I Still think Michigan can Win. I just think Denard Robinson is going to have to be the best player on the field and if he isn't then I don't think we will win.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would not be surprise if someone like Jerry Jones does not throw a bunch of $ at Saban either this year or next.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Trent Richardson already said he was staying for another year unless he has changed his mind after the win.

Michigan will be meeting them at the right time like said above and they have the players to win. I'm just not sure how ready they will be.

When does the final rankings come out?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Does anyone have a rivals account to see what there saying about ateman? Although he's pry not gonna sign untill NSD a year from now. I can see good things with him and Morris, Issac.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ illinoisblue

Where did you hear Trent Richardson is staying?
I heard he is going to make up his mind soon after the bowl game.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If Trent Richardson doesnt go pro he is a fool. He has already won a national championship, so he would be coming back for the heisman? To what end? Its bad enough the toll the RB pos takes on a player. The SEC alone is punishing enough on RB's and he already had a really bad injury in HS... He would risk injury for a heisman? especially with two daughters, its foolish if you ask me.

Michigan was ranked 12th in AP and MSU 11th...

Also Ondre Pipkins tweeted that they were going after Danny Obrien again? he didnt seem to happy about that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nobody ever won a game on paper. We have great coaches and improving talent in the second year of the schemes. I'm excited about next year and the possibility on a NC season. Beating Bama neutral site and road games at Nebraska, ND, and Ohio. Can't wait to signing day then spring ball......GO BLUE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm pumped about the '13 class already, and this years isn't done yet. Can't help but wonder, if we beat Bama, how much that would affect that class. Good or bad.

    ReplyDelete
  37. C-note, why would he be unhappy about that we need depth at the position. I would love to see O'brien in this class. Though I think Will Campbell played well in spots this year.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I know...if we beat Bama I'm going to be screaming NC all the way!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  40. That's all well and good, except the only players returning on that defense are the 2 DE's and the utility linebacker. The black plague would depleted that defense less than this years offseason will.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @warchild I think its cause maybe he and Wormley were told they were the go too guys for DT in this class.. at this point im speculating. We also have Godin in this class as well. After losing so much Depth at Dline this year it would make sense to me, but who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  42. What's this about Evan Goodman visiting on the 13th? It's on his ESPN recruit page. He's a current ASU commit and a consensus 4-star OT prospect. He's 6'4", so he'll probably be an OG. Haven't heard his name linked to UM anywhere, strange.

    ReplyDelete
  43. C-Note, here is a forum from mgoblog discussing this, but it seems to indicate it may be someone else, as TomVH says its an ESPN 4-star and O'brien is a 3. But could also be both. It seems the staff is working a lot of different angles, other than the 6-7 main names out there. Interesting...

  44. This article is from last year, but really gets to the heart of Saban. He is a good coach, but doesn't do it with much class or integrity. I'd take Hoke any day over him.

  45. LMFAO,

    Benji, say it aint so...

Prof will be so disappointed in you. You must derive some personal satisfaction in expecting anything less than a UM blow out against AL.

Smokey must be reeling at your insinuation...

The comments are even more hilarious.

VT beat no one, and got blown out by Clemson. Twice. And, according to everyone who actually places odds on games, and whose opinions are backed by more than their mouth, comparative competitive analysis is right up their with the current roster/injury report as the most valuable information when predicting future performance.

Michigan has a shot at AL. They can continue to improve, surprise them (like by starting DG in a new and unseen package with DR at slot/TB) or simply get very lucky. No one is ever out in college football. Just ask Appalachian State.

One question to smoke in particular:

Name one 4th year starter QB who suddenly found the ability to pass the ball? (And I mean off his front foot, preferably).

Before you inevitably pile on, I will qualify: I love DR. I've loved living and dying by him. I'm proud to be a Michigan alum, and will be proud when he graduates, and joins me. But, he's like Steve Breaston, only much better. I hope he gets a chance to sell himself as such, before the opportunity passes him by. He's not passing Michigan anywhere.

    And, without a balanced attack.....

Michigan may do very well, again. Like I said before the season, smoke:

Last year I said the Vegas over/under was 7 or 7.5. I took the over and won. I also posted that with a few bounces the right way, unexpected improvement on D and special teams, it was possible for them to run the table.

    Look it up.

And get your facts straight next time. I can put up with the imbecile grammar, but factual misrepresentation is another matter.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah your probably right. There's never been a SR that had a breakout year, 132 Michigan teams and it's never happened? Realy? Not at any school? Doubt it. Look it up yourself.

Your vote must not have counted in the AP poll that had VT as the #11 team in the nation.

Last, we're not in grammer class, I don't have a thesaurus on hand.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Marcus coker leaving Iowa?? We should snatch him up.

    ReplyDelete
  50. A point about DR...He's a 4th year SR and a 3 year Starter, also, this WAS only his first year in this system, and usually all players make HUGE strides in year 2 in systems, look at FR-SOPH year jump he made. I'm not appointing him the next Tom Brady passing wise, but it's not unreasonable to say he will make big strides with his passing with another offseason of this O under his belt.

Wasn't the QB at UCLA (or was it CAL?) that Borges coached at was a JR that was the worst statistical QB in the PAC10 who made the HUGE strides to LEAD the Pac 10 in all statistical categories for a QB??? Theres your JR to SR transition right there.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yes Jared it was Cade McNown...his first year in Borges's system he was one of the worst qb's statistically in the Pac 10...his second year he was one of the best NATIONALLY. I mentioned this when everyone was pissing and moaning about DR's play and no one knew about the staph infection in his throwing arm. He'll get better no doubt, he's too good of an athlete and too hard of a worker.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Who's going to start next year at TE? Brandon Moore. But everybody is forgetting about Ricardo Miller, he will be a good TE with WR-speed something rarely seen. And Dylan Esterline or Nate Allspach will be the 3rd string but will probably get playing time because we will be using 2-TE sets. And A.J. Williams and Devin Funchess will most likely redshirt even with the size of A.J. Williams. And for QB I'd like to think outside the box and play Devin Gardner and redshirt Denard Robinson so he has another year in the system so we can really see his potential. Also a good idea would be to put Jeremy Gallon in the wildcat as quarterback so he can run or pass because he played quarterback in high school, as with Thomas Gordon and Courtney Avery, Desmond Morgan, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Who are the confirmed visitors this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks akmed, I was trying to remember his name. I totally agree with you though, and we are on the same page with DR's progression expectations. I completely believe that he could turn out to be one of the best Nationally as well, all he has to do is improve his accuracy moderately and start seeing the running lanes again and he will be head and shoulders above just about every QB in terms of danger factor!

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ Will
lol what would be the point of putting Jeremy Gallon in the wildcat as a QB? He isn't as fast as Denard Robinson or as good of a thrower. That would make no sense to ever do that. As for redshirting Denard Robinson are you crazy? I know everyone can have their opinion but really? Will you need to go watch the Ohio State game again because you must have no payed close enough attention the first time. Denard Robinson put the entire Michigan football team on his back and Won it for us. Our Def couldn't stop OSU's offense. Denard not only ran the ball well but passed the ball over 80 percent. Why would we not want the guy who beat Ohio State for us to not play next year?

    ReplyDelete
  56. lakeland offensive lineman Evan Goodman is visiting in 2 days. and for what its worth, i would take him over Diamond AND Garnett. i watched his film and had to pick my jaw up from my desk. he's 6'4 270 and blocks with the most aggression I've ever seen. id like to have him at fullback on the goal line.

Which class will be rated higher? '12-'13?
    Just speculation of course.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think it may be early, but if you look at the base that is being laid in the trenches, the skill positions are going to come in 2013. If your a RB especially I think your future is especially bright.

    ReplyDelete
  66. My mistake balla... He will be there over the weekend... Read that wrong! But tomvh said we have a 4 star visiting that's committed to another school... Could it be reeves? Yes, but everyone knew he was visiting already so I wonder who it is

    ReplyDelete
  67. So you're sold on Denard Robinson's passing after watching one game or two games??? Denard needs another year obviously and a redshirt would do him well, it would just maximize his potential and give him much needed time to adjust to the system and work on his throwing. And with Gallon in the wildcat I was just saying it would give the defense another look to defend. How many teams would know Gallon can pass?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Will, didn't they get rid of Ann Arbor's $5 pot law?

    ReplyDelete
  69. @ Will

lol Are you suggesting that DR redshirt this year? Really? Did you really type that out and think "Hey this is an intelligent statement I should share with the rest of the word".

Of course no other school knows Gallon can pass. No one else recruited him. No one else knows he played QB in college and of course Gallon running the ball gives us a better look than Fitz or DR running the ball. I totally agree.

Come on guys. This is Michigan!!! Please treat your comments as such.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Will, even though Denard has had some brutal games the last couple of years, he's also been the reason we've gotten some of our wins. I'd rather go with a third year starter in Denard than Gardner as a first year starter.

    ReplyDelete
  71. If gallon is in he is more of a dual threat than robinson because the other teams don't know he can pass. Gallon is a real threat in the wildcat he already is a punt returner and we know he has moves and is quicker than Touissaint. Not saying he's better than Touissaint but Touissaint doesn't give us a dual threat. And why not get Denard at his peak than losing him out after this season. Do you not have any faith in Devin Gardner or even Russell Bellomy yea he's still a red-shirt freshman but he's definitely more accurate than Denard. We have plenty of talent and athleticism to fill in for Denard Robinson if he redshirts.

    ReplyDelete
  72. @ Will

So Denard needs another year in the system and should redshirt in favor of a backup that has the same amount of time in the same system with less starting experience and has only attempted 33 passes in his college career? Said QB also didn't look very good when he did get into games this year.

Or perhaps Denard takes a redshirt so they can install a new wildcat formation that uses....wait for it....a 5'8" WR that hasn't thrown a pass since high school.

Seriously dude, where is the logic here. Are you on crack?

  73. Why does everyone Assume Devin is so much better of a passer than Denard? The coaches said last spring and summer that Denard's passing percentage was better than Devin's and yes they kept track of every throw. Denard all last spring and summer was a better passer than Devin so why in the world do people think Devin would have thrown better than Denard?

  74. Anyone else find it funny that Brian Kelley got a 5 year extension at ND

  75. I'm sitting here reading some of the comments about Denard's passing capabilities and his judgement calls and suggestion of going into a wildcat formation with Gallon. I have to ask some of you...What the heck? I think Denard has proven he is a winner and a real leader, as a coach, why would I risk putting Gallon in, who hasn't played QB since highschool, rest my offense in the hands of someone who's more or less capable of running an offense. Running the wildcat with Gallon at the helm is a disaster waiting to happen. He has no experience at the collegiate level as a QB whatsoever. I thought we were out of the RichRod era of the mad scientist experiment...I suppose we're not with these comments being thrown around.

  76. Fvck Brian Kelly, fvck Note Dame... Fvck South Bend. - Hope that helps.

  77. Joe, one person on this thread has made this absurb suggestion, not several people as you suggest. As a self-policing group we have derided this individual and are preparing the tar and feathers presently so we can leave him on the road outside town and show outsiders what happens when community members stray.

  78. Abach - Technically, it was a 2-year extension, which made the contract a total of 5 years in length. Actually, compared to what they did with Chuck Weis, Kelly's extension looks pretty smart.

Anyway, I support Chucky Gruden's comments two posts above this post.

  79. As silly as this sounds Chucky... it does help... I do feel better after reading that.

Gallon at QB? Shirley you must be joking?
Im not joking, and stop calling me Shirley.

Why dont we experiment with the Towell boy again at wide reciever? redshirt Denard? comon!

Here is what happens when you redshirt Denard... you extend the hybrid/pro style experiment another year. Devin Gardner is being groomed for a more prostyle offense. Slowly you are going to see that style of play phased out. A little more after DR leaves and Gardner gets his shot, and prolly all together when Morris takes the reins. Its already apparent in the games that Gardner has played in. His mentality has been a throw first mentality. He really hasnt run all that much, why? its not cause he cant, but more so that they are grooming him for what they see in the future.

Now aside from the Mike Martz on PcP experiments, does anyone have a list of who exactly is visiting this weekend?

  80. Sorry guys,.. my personal anger towards the golden domers & ohio fluctuates. I have a temper issue, at times only !

  81. I think it was Matt Flynn that sat behind jamarcus Russel. Then started his SR year and won a NC. He also tore Detroit up, pissed me off. Anyway...I like DG as a SR. I think he'll get some playing time this year late in games, and maybe throughout. With the personel that's forming around him, he has a good shot to light it up. He'll have '13 WR's aswell.

  82. Wrong, yet again, smokeless.

VT is not ranked 11. Get your facts straight, or at least try.

Also, they are ranked one above Clemson. Proving once again how accurate the AP poll is.

And, we were not talking about a break out year. We were talking about a 4th year senior QB finally learning how to throw. Maybe he will make progress. I'm betting DG beats him out, and they move him to a TB/slot hybrid.

  83. Was ranked 11, when we played them!! Not after we beat them. Man your fvcking stupid for a UM alum. Take an art class? The fact you think DG will beat out drob is even stupider! He set an all time rushing and passing yards by a qb his So year, went 11-2 with a bcs bowl victory his JR year. So he made some bad plays, you expect a flawless game every game? I thought I smoked alot of dope!

  84. No need to engage in petty insults, my man. I will not indulge you.

But I am willing to teach you a few things.

"You're" is the proper contraction for "you are." Using "your" immediately identifies yourself as uneducated. Not that I really think you care, but subtle cues like that serve as social splitters. In the current and future employment pool, no one should desire to be split into the pool of the uneducated.

"Stupider" is not a word recognized by the what the rest of refer to as the English language.

I will omit the last poorly constructed sentence for the conversation.

    Facts:

DR is being told by everyone, and for obvious reasons, that he has no future in the NFL at QB. There are millions at stake, depending on his decisions, and pride as a QB.He would be exceeding foolish to not heed the advice of professionals advising him to establish himself at a marketable position.

DG is, by all accounts, an intense worker, and making huge strides at becoming a true duel threat QB.

Everyone now knows that if you stop the run, Michigan is basically dead. They learned that even before the Miss St. bowl game.

The current coaching staff is building for the future. DR will be on the field as much as possible. But assuming that it will, or implying that it should be as QB is foolish. The staff should, and probably will, use him where and how he is best suited as a future professional.

  85. Education is highly overrated by the way. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm not college educated. I mess around my 3500 sq ft house, inground pool, hot tub, ride my R1, dirt bike, (no snowmobiling due to the lack of snow). All that for a dumb self employed fvck like myself. Keep going to college and working 40hrs a week. Just try and have fun on your weekends. Maybe take your wife to dinner..tell her you're sorry your a dueche! Think I'm just talking shit put your number on here and I'll send you all the video proof you require college boy!!
