Title says it all really. After a stellar showing at the Army All American game, Michigan DT commit Ondre Pipkins has picked up a 5th star on rivals.com. The analysts at rivals don't give out a 5th star to that many players (in comparison to scout), so this is quite an achievement.
Rivals will bring out their full rankings for the 2012 class in stages throughout the week. I believe the top 100 comes out tomorrow?

ReplyDeleteSo now that 5 stars are getting on campus, is it okay to talk about them, or can we still forget about it? LOL! GO BLUE!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell deserved PeeWee, Go Blue.
ReplyDeleteThis great for PeeWee. Good to see all of his hard work paid off.
ReplyDeletelol, yes, we can talk about Michigan's chances with Pipkins :P They seem good!
ReplyDeleteI created that rule to stop the Stefon Diggs speculation that clearly wasn't going to end well!
Wow. Pipkins is 14th in the country according to rivals.
ReplyDeleteGood news and well deserved for Pipkins.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benji for the work you do
And welcome Davon, good luck and I look forward to reading your articles.
Go Blue!!!
What are UM chances of landing Kozan? I read UM is recruiting him to play center. He would make a good addition to this class. If UM could land Kozan and Garnett that would finish off this class nicely.
ReplyDeleteI am not getting the warm fuzzy feeling from Reeves. I am getting the feeling he is going to the dark side.
Jer,
ReplyDeleteKozan recently came out with a top 3 of Auburn, Iowa, and Michigan. I'd say Michigan is in a pretty good position with him. They're recruiting him as a center and a guard. I think we have a 30% chance with him, though.
Congrats to Pee Wee! It will be interesting to see if anyone else in this class moves up.
ReplyDeleteJordan Payton is looking at other schools including Michigan due to a coaching change at Cal.
ReplyDeleteI am done with Payton drama. UM needs to move on.
ReplyDeleteWord has it that the coaches are visiting him on Thursday.
DeleteReports of Gunner Kiel decommitting again and now going to ND.
ReplyDeleteGunner Kiel is soooooo overrated!
ReplyDeleteAs much as Payton has pissed me off, I would like to see him playing WR here at Michigan. He is good possession receiver and a big body, we need that.
Hope the bball team beats MSU tomorrow :)
Don't forget when Payton was annoucing at the all star game UM did not have a hat on the table. So I think that ship has sailed.
DeleteI forgot about that but who knows! Coaches have been out and about on the West Coast, maybe a visit was paid and some words were said that got him thinking. All I know is that we can use all the wideouts we can get!
DeleteDavon,
ReplyDeleteI read the roundtable. Nice.
But why does everyone still think Wright is coming to UM? I thought UM gave up on him?
Welcome Devon.
ReplyDeleteThis is good news, he shouldn't have to redshirt @ 325!! That's one big boy. If him and big will can own the middle our run D is going to be sick! Need a couple DE's to step up, I'm just not sure who that'll be. Does anyone expect anybody in this class to start against bama? I'm thinkin peewee for sure.
Thanks. I'll probably end up positing the Roundtable on here tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think the reason why people are so high on Wright is because nobody "really" knows the truth about his status with Michigan. Theres been conflicting reports on whether or not Michigan has stopped recruiting him, but until something concrete comes out, I'd say Wright to Michigan is still a possibility.
How did his visit go?
DeleteWright didn't end up visiting this weekend.
DeleteI don't think Wright made the trip to AA. Reeves is visiting ohio this weekend as well. Who knows what's going to happen. The more I search the web for info, the more names get put in the hat. I would love to see Payton on board though.
ReplyDeletegreat to have you devon, great to see mich getting top national recruits as well. det news came out with top recruits, and mich has top 4 and 8 in top 15. great to see mich getting these mich recruits again. g luck benji on finals i've been there no fun.
ReplyDeleteMichigan is visiting Jordan Payton at his home on Thursday. Coach Hoke has told him that we are taking 3 WRs and he the remaining WR Michigan wants.
ReplyDeleteBtw, Pee Wee tweeted him and Jordan was quick to respond!
Go Blue! Commitment watch?!?!?
If we are going after 3 WR, does that mean Stonum is out?
DeleteVery possible assumption
DeleteEither that or they don't like their chances with some of the remaining prospects so they are going to take a 3rd receiver instead of a TE or DB. I think Garnett is the only sure thing.
