Ondre Pipkins Update

Four star defensive tackle Ondre Pipkins (Kansas City, MO) has named two early leaders in his recruitment, Michigan and Michigan State. This may seem strange for a Missouri prospect to name two Michigan schools as his top two, but Pipkins actually grew up in Michigan and still has family in the area.

Pipkins will visit both schools in the summer, along with some others before possibly make a decision before his senior year. If it does come down to the Michigan school, we should probably feel quite confident given the success Brady Hoke has already had vs Mark Dantonio on the recruiting trail.

Pipkins also has offers from Alabama, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and more.

  1. This is what I'm talking about. Finding these guys across the country with Blue in their hearts. They are everywhere! Lets do this!

  2. Not to mention that this guy looks utterly beastial on film. he'd be a good fit with the quickness of Mario on one side.

  3. Off subject, and old news but what was the deal with beumicar cissoko? 5* that got burned all day... Goes to show 5*'s arn't always the bomb I guess...

  4. @smokey420 Cissoko was a great DB. He just couldn't stay out of trouble and was dismissed from the team. Just like Tate Forcier and the deal with his academics problems.

  5. All I can remember is him getting torched by ND specifically, they couldn't throw to warrens side, so they just kept burning him. He ended up loosing starter by the end of the year. I was just flipping through past classes & seen him. Didnt know he was a 5* chump! I'll b stoked if dunn commits!

  7. He was a sophomore going against some of the best WR Notre lame has had in a very long time, Floyd willl be a first round pick...... guarantee by Cissokos junior senior yr he woulda be a all American. Did u guys forget dickrod produced the worst defenses in his 3 yrs... better coaching woulda produced better players

  8. Please don't refer to our former coach as 'dickrod'...

He got fired, lets not kick him whilst he's down.

  9. Lack of proper coaching can NOT be overstated in cissokos example either. Hoke and Mattison could've gotten a LOT more out of the same kids RR had on Defense. It's one thing to teach scheme, it's another thing to take a 17 year old prospect and mold him and mentor him and coach him up into an All American or NFL prospect. RR is a scheme guy, Mattison is a teacher. His wife clearly saw how unhappy he was in the NFL without young minds to mould.

  10. @ worm. Not realy...faster I get done with your ol' lady faster I can get home to mine. @abc123 Warren did just fine can't always blame the scheme. Robinson coached in the NFL too. Fr so sr if your on the field you should hold your own expecialy when you run a 4.40

  11. Honestly though what are our chances with this DT? I mean it seems like Sparty is recruiting him pretty hard and from several angles...

  12. what are our chances with Kyle Murphy?

  13. This makes me wonder if Richardson and Godin will be the next commits or not. Pipkins was off of my radar but if he's motivated he could be a better player than a recruit who might "default" at Michigan.

  14. Paul, I say our chances are pretty good, Pipkins is one of the DT's that Michigan is really pushing for, along with Sheldon Day and a couple others. Playing under three DL coaches for Michigan (Hoke, Mattison and Montgomery) is a big deal to these recruits too.
