Quick Hitters

For those of you interested, its the Champions League final tonight between Barcelona and Man United. I'm backinf Barca to win 3-1!

My exams are over, which should mean more posting from now on. Anyway, here's a quick summary of the last few days.

- Wayne Morgan pushed his decision date back one day to June 2nd. If you don't follow me on Twitter, you'll have missed me retweeting a photo of Wayne in a UM hat that one of you kindly linked me.

- Four star DE Sevon Pittman named Michigan in his top five, which should result in an official visit, but I'm not overly sold on his interest level just yet.

- Adolphus Washington and Dwayne Stanford won't be visiting UM this weekend, that trip has been delayed.

  1. I have been following this site from the beginning of april. I work in a office all day and I must say, thank you for posting and doing what you do. Without this site the day would just drag on. Once again thank you

  2. So how'd you do on your exams? Just gimme a ball park % on our chances of landing dunn. I know he's being quite, hypothetical question...

  7. I hope your exams went well. Thanks for all the updates.

Morgan is now either an unofficial lock, or an official prima donna game player. Either way, we win.

I'm glad the dynamic duo delayed their visit. The weather throughout the Midwest has been horrid, and there is nothing more depressing than an empty college campus on a holiday weekend.

Except, maybe, a ski resort in the summer!

  8. Thanks for all of the great info. What are your thoughts on Andrus Peat narrowing to 13 schools and the block M being one of them, what are our chances of landing the #3 player in the country?

  9. BlueMarrow is right, the campus this weekend won't exactly be buzzing, and I'm not sure if all the coaches would even be there to see Washington and Stanford, that's why they've delayed it.

Smokey, I'd say the chances of landing Dunn is around 15% with Jim Tressel still there, but if he leaves, I'd say it could be a 50/50 - maybe even UM would be favorites.

Jameel, a top 13 doesn't really mean much. Michigan has to get into the top five, because those schools will get official visits, and if UM is to have any chance with a guy like Peat, an official visit is a must.

  10. Sorry, tha's a ignorant comment. 2 years ago Barcelona was the better team. They will prove the same later this afternoon.

It's going to be a Blaugrana type day.!

  11. Two years was a long time ago. Shit I've spent a year in Afghanistan since then. So that may not be a great argument. Though I will say that barca is a great team and im just glad my team is in the finals.

  12. So long as they don't resort to the garbage tactics that seem to take hold when ever they play a team which they don't feel they can completely dominate. Big Barca fan when they play right, HATE them when they resort to the dark side.

    Sorry Benji, can't stand SAF

  13. Rooney's temper tantrum's, Chicharito's whinning is not going to be enough. Stay tuned..Once again, Man U goes down. In their own homeland.

  14. I like Messi, I like Busquets, I like Pique, I hate Barca. They're the SMU or U$C of soccer. The Yankees and the Heat look at them funny and say: "Not cool, bro." They used to be the "do it the right way" club but now it's the "winning is THE only thing that matters" club.

  15. Keith Marshall's last tweet..."when I was in elementary school I always wanted to go to Michigan because of their helmets !" That's interesting, I only wish that was still true.

  16. Good luck on the grades n such Benjamin...2 quickies...has Pipkins named a top 5? and with the way Morris detroyed the Nike camp last week do you see him as a 5 star lock next year? Seeing as hes probably better than Pike RIGHT NOW.

  17. When you get a chance, time to update the "who do you want to see" poll.

    TR! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

  18. 3-1 Barcelona, 2 years later, AGAIN, the better team won, Blaugranas !

  19. And who predicted 3-1...ohh yeah :P

Pipkins doesn't have an official top five out yet.

Morris will probably be a five star on scout.com at least if he has a good junior year.

  20. What's the latest on this stuff coming about osu in SI? And how long will Tressel hang in there?

  21. The article comes out Tuesday. You will find out then, like most of us.

  22. Word. It won't all be fluff and insinuation, though. The writer is an investigative journalist and he;s the last sports writer to win the Pulitzer Prize. He previously wrote a piece on an athletic scandal at Minnesota and had moved to Columbus for 2 short periods while researching and writing. What was it that Bart Scott said again?

  23. BTW there's a great new post on Genuinely Sarcastic documenting the buckeye corruption timeline. It's brutal.

  24. Very interesting read...I've always wondered to myself and out loud how Ohio can continually get away with all of the shady business that goes on there. I really hope that the NCAA comes down on them and the vest hard. Not just because I'm a Michigan fan, but this is also supposed to be an institution of higher education. They are supposed to be shaping/molding them into the pillars of our country's future and not teaching them how to lie, cheat, beg, borrow and steal.
