Earlier on my Twitter I said that Michigan was no longer recruiting Floyd Raven.
The reason for this is that the visit with Greg Mattison seems to have done the trick for Blake Countess, who announced on Twitter that he had reaffirmed his commitment to Michigan. This means Michigan won't be taking another defensive back in this class, after Stefan McClure dropped us earlier today.
Countess is Michigan's top recruit in the class, so losing him would have been disastrous after previous top recruits Dee Hart and Dallas Crawford, departed. Recruiting has gone extremely well since Mattison was hired, you can't help but wonder how good the 2012 class might be, especially with it being a good year for Midwest prospects.
Now we need to work on some OL prospects get that FB we are going after and a DT
ReplyDeletethis blog is outstanding. great work!
ReplyDeleteas bummed as i was about losing dee hart, i think justice hayes is going to be a better fit. i read earlier that he's doing a bit of recruiting himself by trying to convince guys to stay. he's a natural leader. i'll take that over hart, who's "hart" was always in alabama to begin with.
What do you think about walk ont, Joey Kerridge. He is only listed as a two star, but before he tore his acl, I think, his video looks like he is a tough FB. Hasn't Brady really used FB in the past?
ReplyDeleteAll in 4 Michigan !... Great news !
ReplyDeleteYeah I remember watching Kerridge's film a while back, he looked really good. Michigan will need a good FB under Brady Hoke, and it'll be either Kerridge or new recruit Trayion Durham.
