Crawford done with Michigan

It was reported last week that Dallas Crawford was decommitted from Michigan, but the hope was he would still consider the Wolverines in the end.

That doesn't appear to be the case now as ESPN is reporting that Dallas has dropped Michigan from his options all together. His high school coach Grant Readhead says he'll visit Miami, USC and UNC officially before making his final decision.

This is a huge blow to Michigan's 2011 class as they have now lost both their ESPN150 commits in Hart and Crawford. I'm sure Brady Hoke will try his best to contact Crawford, but right now I'd say Miami has to be the most likely destination for the talented prospect.

Blake Countess just became even more important, Hoke has to keep him on board.

  1. That is unfortunate. Benji, how bad do you anticipate this class being? Is it possible we will end up with a class of 12-15 people or smaller?

  2. Well we only have 12 commits now, and a few of those are going to take visits. I think we might lose Matt Goudis to Miami when he visits them. Then others like Jake Fisher, Kellen Jones are really open, so we could lose them before signing day.
Realistically we can only bring in 3-4 more commits at a max, so I think the class will end up being around 14-15 in size, but it depends whether Hoke can go after some new guys; people from Cali maybe?

  5. Heard that Bryant liked his visit to Pittsburgh. Hope the visit didn't change his opinion so much that Michigan is left out in the cold like the Kicker did by picking that famous institute of higher learning Miami. Don't lose the baby, Faith..or something like that!

  6. Just a word of caution. Brady and his slowly assembling group of assistant coaching staff need all the positive vibes they can assimilate.

Negative comments will never be like a great smile and a "well done."
