Darian Cooper and Lamar Dawson have both dropped Michigan after hearing the official word from Dave Brandon. This isn't too surprising, but it sure is annoying.
Kris Frost and Wayne Lyons both still plan to announce their decision on Saturday, and will base their decisions on the school, not the coaches; which helps Michigan's cause slightly. I think we might still get Frost, but Lyons might be stretch right now.
It sure would help if they brought in a coach before Saturday!
I see no way they bring in a new coach by the weekend. Michigan looks like an unorganized bunch of buffoons. I really didn't think a coaching change could be run worse than it was under Bill Martin, but at this point Dave Brandon is taking the cake.
ReplyDeleteThe only promising news from the news conference was that Brandon said he would basically pay whatever it took to get the coach he thought was right. Does that point in the direction of Miles?
ReplyDeleteJustice Hayes just deleted his Hayesnblue twitter account..... uh oh....
ReplyDeleteBrent
ReplyDeleteHayes said he came here for Fred Jackson and according to reports all of RR's staff was fired aside from Mike Barwis.
Yea I agree guys this will most likely be one of the worst recruiting class in Michigan history. Or so it has potential. The only, if any bright spot we have is that the players we have now our all freshman and sophmores. I hope this offseason they get better like they should and we see improvments on both sides of the ball!
ReplyDeleteIt's all Dave's fault.
ReplyDeleteDon't read too much into Hayes deleting his account. Surely with a new coach in, he'll get a chance to play RB at Michigan, in fact he's the featured back in this class. You'd think he'd like that.
ReplyDeleteI'd be more worried about Crawford and Posada, i.e Florida kids.
If Dave bring Urban Meyer to Ann Arbor, I'll forgive him. Otherwise, all bad thing happen to Michigan football is Dave's responsibiltiy. He is the only one to blame.
ReplyDeleteUrban Meyer resigned from Florida to be able to watch his kids play sports and other school activities. He also wanted to take a break and focus on health. Why would he come to Michigan now? It's illogical...
ReplyDeleteAccording to my twitter hayes still has a twitter. And i don't understand how you can say this will be the worst michigan class. Most kids have pledged they will stay no matter the coach. The class really can only improve at this point and will finish anywhere between 10-20
ReplyDeletewhy would fred jackson get fired when hes been there since the 90s?
ReplyDeleteBoink- All sites have michigan at 25 or less... before hart left. ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com says that long shot for lyons now... Frost is not comming and Crawford will head back south. So unless the new coach brings in all his recruits we wont get much more and def not a 10 to 20 finish.
ReplyDeleteYeah recruiting class will not be ranked very good, the only one that could bring them into top 20 is Harbaugh and that's not happening.
ReplyDeleteI think (or should say hoping)that next year could possibly be one of the best defensive classes that Michigan has ever had, granted the right coach and the promise from Brandon that everything, including ball boys are defensive minded.
We have seen how a president(AD) ruined a football program for a decade at Lions. Now, we will see the Michgian version of Matt Millen. OMG
ReplyDeleteJake Fisher is still planning on coming but is looking around just in case. In a local TC paper he even went so far as to say he would consider RR's new school. Think he'll stay but keeping an eye on him.
ReplyDelete@loveroftroy keep those negative comments to yourself! The very last thing this team needs is diversity against our A.D. You would think we woulda learned when we were divided against our coach
